WHAT IS A CPU?
The CPU is the core of any computer. It stands for Central Processing Unit, and it is the component that performs the system's calculations. It takes an input, processes data, and produces an output. At the most basic level, it uses electrical pulses to signify 0's and 1's (on and off states). A computer isn't able to function without some form of a CPU. Just like the CPU is essential to the computer, the computer is essential to us in the modern world.
LETTER FROM THE FOUNDER
Computers have always been a strong passion of mine from an early age, and I have invested a large amount of time into discovering their capabilities. I remember the first time I began to code in NXT, around the age of 9. I was shocked by how much I could do with just a few clicks of a button. In 6th grade, I took on the project of building a computer, with a Ryzen 7 1700, RX 580, and 3200 Mhz G.Skill RAM. I was amazed by the potential of this developing field because of how versatile it was and how many applications it could be used in, such as healthcare and research. Using my passion, I felt the need to give back to the community because I felt that everyone should have access to such an important component of our everyday lives, which regularly allows us to keep making advancements at the rate we do. So, I founded The CPU Advantage because I thought that everyone should experience the capabilities they possess and learn to use them as they are our future. By donating these computers, I hope to create an everlasting impact on the world.
